Holy shit! First my grandmother, and now my grandfather. They both have cancer.

My grandfather was admitted to the hospital sometime last week as he thought he had pneumonia. Well, he has lung cancer. Double joy.
I don't know what kind of tests they had done, but whatever it was found a spot of lung cancer on his lung. He was a painter in his younger years so I don't know if inhaling all of the paint fumes would've done anything to affect it or not. He stayed there over night and came back home.

He came home the other day, fell down two times because he's weak, and then went back to the hospital because a blood test revealed he had too much calcium in his blood. 'Tis not looking good, folks.

Wow, what a first post. I just found out my grandmother has cancer and they can't operate. Joy.

A few months ago, my grandmother was complaining of stomach pains and inability to eat. At first, we suspected she just had a sour stomach, but as it progressed and held on over the months, we figured it was something worse. Two weeks ago she went to the hospital to get a CAT scan done on her, and then a biopsy. They found a big mass in her stomach, and the biopsy found the cancer.

To complicate things, there is a blockage in the duct behind her liver, so they have to clear that out before they can start treating her. We're still not sure if it's chemotherapy or radiation yet, but whatever it is, I hope it works.

She has some medication to take for the pain and that's helping a little, at least.
